Newly Discovered Manuscript Fragment of Sir David Lyndsay's The Testament of the Papyngo.

The article considers the manuscript fragment of the poem "The Testament and Complaynt of our Soverane Lordis Papyngo" by Sir David Lyndsay. The anglicized quarto edition was published by printer John Byddell in 1538. It mentions the error in the substantive variants which is consistent with an aural misapprehension. It cites the possibility that Byddell was working from an exemplar with better readings.
