Abstract
- An 18-metal lanthanide nanoring [Yb<subscript>18</subscript>(L<superscript>1</superscript>)<subscript>8</subscript>(HL<superscript>2</superscript>)<subscript>2</subscript>(OAc)<subscript>20</subscript>(MeOH)<subscript>8</subscript>(EtOH)<subscript>6</subscript>(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>4</subscript>] (1), which shows a ratiometric fluorescent response to DPA, was constructed through the strategy of using two types of polydentate organic ligands. The addition of DPA increases the visible ligand-centered emission, but decreases the NIR lanthanide luminescence of 1. The limit of luminescent detection of 1 for DPA is 1.5 μM. The high fluorescence sensitivity of 1 to DPA is not affected by the existence of interferents such as aromatic carboxylates and ions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
