Abstract
- My comments concern the severe errors in the crystallographic part of the commented paper. The correct formula is proposed to be Bi<subscript>1–x</subscript>Y<subscript>x</subscript>FeO<subscript>3</subscript> ('Bi<subscript>0.85</subscript>Y<subscript>0.15</subscript>FeO<subscript>3</subscript>') instead of BiFe<subscript>0.85</subscript>Y<subscript>0.15</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript>. It is found that the studied sample is bi-phasic with nearly equal amounts of BiFeO<subscript>3</subscript>:Y and Bi<subscript>25</subscript>FeO<subscript>39</subscript>:Y. The actual composition of the studied crystals is not known. Moreover, the type of unit cell is not correct. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
