Explores the dimensions of the mainstreaming counter-narrative that has accompanied the demise of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Commission (ATSIC). Comment of a party leader that would put doubt on the mainstreaming of Aboriginal economic and social conditions; Changes proposed by the counter-narrative in the Aboriginal community; Implication of the dumping of the Reeves Review of a mainstreaming narrative called the "Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1976" for the Aborigines; Event that illustrates the cultural impact of the allocation of the responsibilities of ATSIC.
