Abstract
- The article cites a study on detection of water pollutant at a river near a textile industrial complex in Korea. It states that detection of unregulated chemicals in the public waterways is a prime concern of environmental scientists and government authorities charged with preventing unexpected impact on human health and ecosystem by emerging chemical contaminants in the environment. Recent field surveys conducted in Kumho River, a tributary river of Nakdong River, by the laboratory of the authors showed consistent and apparently positive signals in the Ames mutagenicity test.
