- Discusses the National Folk Festival in Dallas, Texas. Objective of the Festival to bring together the groups, with their folk expressions peculiar to the different regions, in the faith that National incentive gives encouragement to regional festivals; View that the participants in the National Folk Festival represent a cross section of the people of the U.S.; Opinion that participants were generally not trained artists, but unpretentious interpreters of the traditional folk expressions; Cultural significance of the Festival in Dallas; Attitude of people toward folk music and dances.
