Evaluates the presence of a thapsigargin-sensitive calcium store in trypanosomatids by researchers from Caracas, Venezuela. Role of calcium on the regulation of several important activities in different trypanosomatids; Presence of a calcium transport system in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of the parasite; Contentions regarding the existence of a thapsigargin-sensitive ER calcium store in these parasites.
