Abstract

Funding, publishing and supporting CPPR is one way in which we can dismantle structural and historical barriers that limit the power of research to eliminate health disparities affecting Black communities. The potential for CPPR and other community-informed research strategies to address health disparities can only be realised if this approach is recognised as valuable and institutional barriers are removed in the scientific community. I The burden of the COVID-19 pandemic has disparately impacted the health of racial/ethnic minority groups which reflects the racial/ethnic injustice that has been woven into the fabric of today's society.
