Abstract

The article presents a case study of a male fetus was diagnosed with intrapelvic meconium peritonitis by fetal ultrasonography (USG), and delivered by cesarean section at 31 weeks 1 day of gestational age (birth weight: 2,736 g). Topics include the immediately underwent ileostomy for perforated apple-peel-type ileal atresia at 6 h after birth, and the postoperative course had been good in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), so the ileostomy was closed at 41 days of age.
