Abstract

The article presents a case study of an elderly man having cholecystocutaneous fistula. Cholecystocutatneous fistula is a rare but important condition to recognize. The man had been admitted to the hospital and treated for chronic psychosis and a chronic brain syndrome with mellaril. On admission the patient had no physical complaints. However, during the previous month the hospital staff had noticed an enlarging mass on the right upper abdomen. Histological examination revealed a granulomatous process with lipid laden cells. A xanthomatous granuloma had formed around the tract from the gall bladder.
