Abstract: The article discusses impact of shortage of semiconductor on automotive supplies industry amid COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. Topics discussed include importance of expanding the capacity and expertise of the advanced chips within the European Union (EU); additional government funding for manifacturing of nanometer chips; and call for investments in semiconductors and their local production in Europe.
