Abstract

A 5-min 12-lead ECG was recorded (sampled at 500 Hz, SE-1010 PC ECG system), ensuring a stable 60-s section was available. ECG data for both groups were analyzed and reported by maximum and integral QRS-T angles, duration of analysis section and heart rate to enable comparisons between them, with analysis blind to group allocation. In conclusion, this pilot study shows increased QRS-T vector angle may be associated with poorer glycemic control in children and adolescents with T1D, suggesting repolarization abnormalities may result from suboptimal control.
