Abstract

This paper opens an unsolved conundrum about writing psychoanalysis posed as series of questions. What is the pull into theory and the push against theory in my writing? How does creative writing, drawing, and printmaking catalyze the implicit, unspoken, or unspeakable when I am working in the position of analyst? How is the field of my listening formed (by all the ways I play daily) with language and with images? What of this art outside the clinic allows me to bring something new back into my analytic work? I answer these questions with a poetics and two prints, necessarily incomplete and not entirely satisfactory. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
