Abstract

We present the results of structural and magnetic properties of two types of heterostructures composed of ferroelectric BaTiO<subscript>3</subscript> and dielectrics LaMnO<subscript>3</subscript> or SrTiO<subscript>3</subscript>. By means of the first principle calculations we analyze structures of BaTiO<subscript>3</subscript>/LaMnO<subscript>3</subscript> and BaTiO<subscript>3</subscript>/SrTiO<subscript>3</subscript> interfaces and investigate magnetic properties and an impact of ferroelectric polarization. Experimental results of magnetic susceptibility measurements for Ba<subscript>0.8</subscript>Sr<subscript>0.2</subscript>TiO<subscript>3</subscript>/LaMnO<subscript>3</subscript> heterostructure are presented.
