Abstract
- The third‐stage larva of Golofa claviger (Linnaeus, 1771) is described for the first time based on specimens collected in the municipalities of Acará and Tailândia, Pará state, northern Brazil. A diagnosis, updated description of the female, key for known third‐stage larvae of Golofa Hope, 1837, and illustrations of key morphological characters are also given. Furthermore, taxonomic literature on females and immature stages of Dynastini from the New World is tabulated to provide an overview of genera and possible historical trends. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
