Abstract

The article presents information about certain theatrical aspects and production of the founding member of the experimental theatre company, Bernard-Marie Kolt&etilde;s and cesar award wining director/writer Patrice Chéreau. The article reveals that Patrice Chéreau's staging of "Combat de n&etilde;gre et de chiens," by Bernard-Marie Kolt&etilde;s was the first large-scale production in France of a text by a playwright, whose work, over the course of the following decade, would become known throughout Europe.
