Abstract

We present results of the development of two personal dosimetry devices, called 4-FRD and Koph/Shin, based on thermoluminescent dosimeters. 4-FRD uses TLD-100 and different filters, while Koph/Shin uses a TLD-100/TLD-300 combination. These devices were calibrated for 15-1250 keV photons (4-FRD) and 15-65 keV (Koph/Shin), in terms of air kerma. 4-FRD was able to determine Effective Dose (E) with ∼33% relative expanded uncertainty (k=2), while Koph/Shin determined E with ∼16% relative expanded uncertainty. Both fulfilled ICRP recommendations for personal dosimetry devices in terms of uncertainty. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
