Abstract

Uncertainty quantification is crucial for any measurement technique. The present work aims at validating a priori estimates of displacement uncertainties. Images acquired prior to fourteen thermomechanical tests were analyzed via FE-based stereocorrelation to determine actual displacement uncertainties, which were compared to a priori estimates. For the studied experimental database, a very good agreement was observed between a priori and a posteriori estimates of standard displacement uncertainties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
