Abstract

Details the findings of a study which investigated the effects of FKBP12 depletion on skeletal muscle function and calcium release in skeletal muscle-restricted FKBP12-deficient mouse (SFK12KO). Changes in muscle contractile properties; Intracellular calcium release in SFK12KO myotubes; Alteration of muscle myosin heavy chain phenotype in SFK12KO diaphragm muscle.
