USP Scientific Conference Draws Crowd and Raises Questions.

The article presents information on the United States Pharmacopeia's first Annual Scientific Meeting, held in Iselin, New Jersey, from September 27 to 29, in which seven topic tracks engaged the more than 350 attendees in thoughtful discussion about challenges they face in formulation, quality control, and regulatory filings. The questions of causal and correlation relationships, available tools, and the limits of current manufacturing systems, all were explored in the Process analytical technology track. Advances in NIR spectroscopy and the use of chemometrics were discussed in the third session.
