SERVICES TO INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS.

The article presents an evaluation of the services provided by the Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son to international customers. In recent years, Butterfield's corporate fiduciary services have been one of the most rapidly growing areas in the bank. To service these clients more comprehensively, Butterfield set up a new subsidiary, Butterfield Corporate Services, Limited, to sell a full range of corporate managerial services to banking clients. These include services for corporate secretaries, accounting services, and registrar and transfer agent facilities. In both Bermuda and its overseas offices, Butterfield handles the back office work of a multitude of offshore funds. Because of Butterfield's contacts in all major time zones, fund managers and shareholders are expeditiously served under the Butterfield umbrella. In addition, however, registration and transfer agent work is also undertaken for public companies. The profitability of Butterfield's corporate trust work has been exceeding expectations.
