Abstract

The article presents information on the U.S. aviation industry. Among perennial topics in the discussion guaranteed to elicit an opinion from general aviation operators are Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and temporary flight restrictions (TFRs). DCA continues to be barricaded against general aviation (a bad precedent, business aviation leaders protest, especially after Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's preemptive strike on the late, lamented Meigs Field), and TFRs persist in inhibiting FAR Part 91 operations throughout the United States.
