Abstract
- Existing literature has barely explored the role of tourist experiences in the tourism-led migration process. Focusing on surfing-oriented migrants in a coastal municipality, this paper explores the relationship between the role of tourist experiences and factors influencing migrants' desires and decisions to migrate from a long-term perspective. Data transcribed from interviews about the migrants' trajectories were analyzed using the trajectory equifinality model, a qualitative research method for visualizing individuals' life courses and interrelationships between individuals and environments. This paper provides insights into the previously unexplored relationship between tourism and migration destination in tourism-led migration research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
