Abstract

This paper proposes to use the method of statistical modeling, i.e. the Monte Carlo method, to predict the probability of the survival of torsion bars in the Blagonravov continuously variable mechanical transmission. To solve this problem it is proposed to use Rzhanitsyn's indestructibility function. The two-parametric representation of cyclic torsional strain ranges is presented. Data on the survival probability of torsion bars in specific motor vehicle operating modes, predicted using the MathCAD processor, are presented. The possibility of applying the developed procedures to estimating the survival probability of torsion bars when using the Blagonravov transmission for motor vehicles of various designations is shown.
