Abstract

The paper proposes a possible approach to estimating the residual life of welded joints, based on a phenomenological model of damage accumulation and fracture. The adequacy of the developed approach is confirmed by comparison with experimental data on the cyclic loading of specimens with a natural concentrator in the form of a weld. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
