Conflicting sentiments over the growing bustle and population in the city of New Orleans; Issue of integrating and employing Negroes migrating into the city; Sentiment among the residents of Houston that there is great industrial opportunity ahead; Weakness of organized labor there; Merchandising in Dallas; Unionization in the textile field; Political problems in the South arising from the gap between the wages of agricultural workers and city workers; Problem of freight-rate differentials and the tariffs in Texas and the South.
