Abstract

Focuses on the issue of German industries being the hinge of an effective German settlement to destroy the fascist forces in Germany in the post World War II scenario. Questions being raised over the manner in which the German industries will be run; Prospects of a power struggle over the control of Germany; Fears that German industrial strength might become a weapon for its masters; Criticism of the idea of reducing the industry potential of Germany by both the reactionaries and the liberals; Suggestion that the solution should be such as to bring about political decentralization while leaving the economic centralization in place; Views that the real solution lies not in vindictive settlement but decisive settlement; Choices before the Allied forces in dealing with the German industrial strength, curbing it , mutilating it or transforming the control.
