Abstract
- Cellulose has been shown to be a perspective substrate for the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over CdS- based photocatalyst under visible light irradiation (450 nm). Multiphase photocatalyst was synthesized throw simple two- stage method. Samples obtained were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy and XRD techniques. The influence of such reaction parameters as photocatalyst loading, substrate concentration and pH was investigated. The highest hydrogen evolution rate equaled to 0.8 mmol·h<superscript>-1</superscript>·g<subscript>cat</subscript><superscript>−1</superscript> with the calculated apparent quantum yield of 1.1 %.
