Abstract

A potentiometric method for determining the antioxidant capacity of objects containing compounds of different hydrophilicity using the K<subscript>3</subscript>[Fe(CN)<subscript>6</subscript>]/K<subscript>4</subscript>[Fe(CN)<subscript>6</subscript>] system as an oxidizing agent is proposed. The developed method determines antioxidant properties of vitamin preparations containing compounds of different hydrophilicity, namely the ascorbic acid and the α-tocopherol. A comparative analysis of the amount of active substance have been made according to the data declared by the manufacturer and determined experimentally. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
