Abstract
- In response to the call for person-centered methods from ORM in 2018, this symposium seeks to provide substantive examples of person-centered methodology in practice. The first paper conducts a systematic review of the person-centered literature in careers research and discusses how the use of these methods is important for answering relevant questions. The second paper explores a novel person-centered method, the latent profile exploratory factor analysis, and discusses how this method may be useful in answering questions related to performance, personality and emotions. The final three papers provide substantive examples of profiling in management research and focus on topics such as job embeddedness, job crafting and employee engagement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
