Abstract
- In Susanna Berger's I The Art of Philosophy i , we encounter another, visually and conceptually complex, subgenre of thesis prints. Berger boldly asserts that " I all i premodern art in Europe involves language, even if script is not literally present", and hence, pre-1800 art is "incomprehensible without reference to a text" (39).
