Abstract
- Reports that the U.S. Army took command of lighting regulations along the East Coast to halt the criminal negligence of many coast areas which have persistently made it possible for Axis submarines to detect silhouettes of vessels at night. Ineffectiveness of measures taken by the Army and the U.S. War Department due to lack of cooperation from waterfront communities from Maine to Florida; Permission of neon advertising, given by the municipal administrations; Need for an awakening of the battle spirit in every heart among the people.
