Expectation to gain a place in a peaceful and mutually cooperative world; View that the psychological disarmament of Japan must deal with her claims to racial uniqueness and superiority; Refusal to surrender to the white man is one way of showing contempt for him; Discussion of the role played by the Japanese Universities to promote nationalism; Report that Japanese militarism has indirectly proclaimed the capacity of the common people for participation in the higher qualities of universal human nature--rationality, sincerity, loyalty to freedom, and good will.
