Abstract

The article reports on the sales increase experienced by the luxury sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. Few sectors of the sector yet to enter the e-commerce segment experienced such increase during the pandemic and lockdown in India and worldwide. Such increase is attributed to those distressed consumers who resort to shopping as a therapy and as a way to stay positive.
