Historical novel is, without any exaggeration, one of the most striking literary genres, as a retrospective of the past in the imagination of the writer makes up for the lack of imagination and imagination of a professional historian. The genre of historical novel has gone through a hard way of formation. The artistic purpose of the writer being not only review of the major historical events, the description of the famous figures, is also as precise as possible the exact reconstruction of the epoch spirit, with historicism as the basic principle of realistic literature in speech demanding correspondence of style to the represented world of reality. The genre of the historical novel assumes "revival" of bright events of the past which is prompted by the memory clothed in the literary form and serves not only for satisfaction of idle curiosity of the reader, but also for extraction of certain lessons - moral, psychological, historical.
