Abstract
- Two high dynamic range displays: dual‐cell LCD and mini‐LED backlit LCD, are investigated. In a dual‐panel display, the parallax error at large viewing angles is analyzed and mitigated by a newly proposed splitting algorithm. Besides, the image qualities of mini‐LED backlit LCD are compared with OLED under different display brightness, ambient reflectance, and ambient light illuminance. The halo effect of mini‐LED based LCD becomes less noticeable as the ambient light brightness increases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
