This article presents information about the RTKL balances technological sophistication with patient-friendly warmth in a state-of-the-art facility for the Indiana Heart Hospital. The Indiana Heart Hospital, is a new $ 60 million, 261,000 square hospital designed by the Dallas office of RTKL and was completed last February. To create an environment that balances technological sophistication with patient friendly warmth, architects worked closely with doctors, nurses and other hospital staff to understand the entire patient-care process from reception to discharge. The five-story hospital stands out as a dynamic, cheerful collage of colorful forms from Interstate 69, the highway that passes the hospital's 11 acre site.
