Abstract

A series of POM-based all-inorganic open frameworks, H<subscript>9</subscript>[Ln<subscript>9</subscript>W<subscript>8</subscript>(μ<subscript>4</subscript>-O)<subscript>12</subscript>(μ<subscript>2</subscript>-O)<subscript>24</subscript>(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>24</subscript>](SiW<subscript>12</subscript>O<subscript>40</subscript>)<subscript>3</subscript>·60H<subscript>2</subscript>O (1-Ln, Ln = La, Pr and Nd), have been fabricated and structurally characterized for the first time. The unique architectures are constructed from nanoscale four-shell Ln@W<subscript>8</subscript>@Ln<subscript>8</subscript>@(SiW<subscript>12</subscript>)<subscript>6</subscript> clusters. Additionally, the porous nature of the frameworks has also been investigated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
