Abstract
- The article focuses on prevalent political conditions in Jordan as of November 3, 1957. The article ramifies the statement given by King Hussein in which, he clarifies to his Premier to take necessary steps to release Jordan from communist influence. The crackdown in the direction started the very next week. Inquiry has shown, however, that the King's own government is undercutting his anti-Communist directive and that the crackdown is less effective than it at first sounded.
