Abstract

This article focuses on the preference of Germany for trade by Eastern countries in comparison to the U.S., France or Great Britain. In the Near East nothing succeeds like excess. Nazi propaganda succeeded in convincing a vast body of Arab, Levantine and Persian nationalists that Germany was their natural ally against Western imperialism. To communities raised on messianic legends of the leaders and saints who have vanished from time to time in .the course of Near Eastern history, bequeathing the belief that they would return one day to wipe out their enemies and open the gates of Paradise to the Faithful, German Dictator Adolf Hitler's mysterious end was eloquent.
