Abstract

In this study, two new mixed-ligand coordination polymers (CPs) {[Cd<subscript>6</subscript>(nbta)<subscript>3</subscript>(bimb)<subscript>4</subscript>(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)](H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>3</subscript>}<subscript>n</subscript> (1, bimb = 4,4′-bis((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)−1,1′-biphenyl) and [Co<subscript>3</subscript>(bib)<subscript>2</subscript>(nbta)<subscript>2</subscript>]<subscript>n</subscript> (2, bib = 1,4-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)−2-butene) have been successfully prepared by reaction of 5-nitro-1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid (H<subscript>3</subscript>nbta) with different N-donor ligands under the solvothermal conditions. The as-prepared two CPs have been studied via the elemental analysis along with the single crystal X-ray diffraction. The inhibitory effect of synthesized new mixed-ligand coordination polymers on K562 leukemia cells was evaluated by CCK-8 assay. And the percentage of apoptotic cells after CPs 1 and 2 treatment was assessed by Annexin V-FITC/PI assay. Finally the in vivo effect of CPs on tumor was conducted by tumor volume and mice weight measurement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
