Abstract
- In this article, the author talks about her experience of being a daughter of a tobacco farmer in South Carolina. It mentions that the policy changes and economic necessity have mandated a change of occupation for tobacco farmers; and smoking has decreased; and public health litigation increased. It mentions that tobacco companies like R.J. Reynolds and Philip Morris began looking outside of the U.S. for profit margins.
