Abstract
- The article presents information on political developments related to the U.S. It is not as though the Democrats had no issues. The most conspicuous is the American economy itself. Right at the moment U.S. President Dwight David Eisenhower is setting the stage for another recession (it will be his third) for the end of 1960. often. The nation's economic growth normally averages about 4 percent a year. The Soviet climb is 8 to 10 percent a year. But the Eisenhower phobia against inflation has throttled the economy down to a miserable average rate of progress of 1.3 percent.
