Abstract
- The article presents the year-end performance assessment of HSBC Holdings PLC, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Deutsche Bank AG in the global debt capital markets. HSBC, headed by Managing Director James Healy, culled together a dynamite book in just 12 months, landing a ninth place slot in the mid year league tables and agented $445 million in new transactions. J.P. Morgan's merger with Banc One Corp. led to their landing at the top positions in the annual league tables repeatedly. Although Deutsche Bank's performance slid down comparatively more in the league tables, yet it executed more transactions and recorded $485 million in transactions.
