CDs help patients use guided imagery.

The article reports on Angela Bowers, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based psychologist, has launched two compact discs (CDs) that utilize a technique called guided imagery to help lower anxiety. The CDs, "Embracing Healing: Guided Imagery for Surgical Patients" and "Transforming Anxiety: Guided Imagery for Anxiety, Panic Attack or Chronic Stress," are available to both physicians and patients. Bowers is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in private practice for over 20 years. She teaches guided imagery to patients with cancer and other illnesses.
