Abstract
- In order to study the effect of natural gas and hydrogen mixed fuel on the combustion and emissions of the engine, biodiesel was used as the fuel, and a comparative experimental study was conducted in the reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) mode. The test results show that natural gas doped with hydrogen improves the thermal efficiency of diesel engines, while shortening the flame retardation period and the duration of combustion; with the increase of injection volume of natural gas doped with hydrogen mixture fuel, the peak value of heat release increases first and then decreases, and the ignition time is delayed. The HC, CO and smoke emissions of natural gas hydrogenated fuels are lower than natural gas, but NO<subscript>x</subscript> emissions are on the rise. Compared with traditional diesel engines, natural gas doped with hydrogen can significantly reduce CO and HC emissions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
