Abstract

The hetero-Fenton catalyst Fe<subscript>2</subscript>(MoO<subscript>4</subscript>)<subscript>3</subscript> was prepared by simple co-precipitation method and it was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis-DRS) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Fe<subscript>2</subscript>(MoO<subscript>4</subscript>)<subscript>3</subscript> was used for hetero-Fenton photocatalyst for the degradation of Rhodamine-B (Rh-B) under solar light. The effect of various operational parameters like catalyst concentration, initial solution pH, H<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>2</subscript> dosage, initial dye concentration reusability on photodegradation were investigated and the optimum conditions are reported.
