Abstract

The article looks at a study single-center observational study regarding lung recruitability in COVID-19–associated Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). It mentions clinical question with regard to personalizing the management of these patients is whether the lungs are recruitable with high positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) for each individual patient. It also mentions increase in end expiratory lung volume induced by PEEP is distributed between the recruited lung.
