Abstract

In this article the author talks about primarily to analyze the epidemiology of COVID-19 in the older population, the clinical manifestation and diagnosis, the potential therapeutic strategies, and the role of the geriatrician in managing this infection emergency. It mentions that the pathogen that causes COVID-19 disease is a new coronavirus that has been isolated in the late January 2020, called SARS-CoV-2, and a big group of diverse single-stranded RNA viruses.
