Abstract

The article presents a case study of Lower Bacillus Calmette-Guerin Protection against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This cohort study followed IFN-g release assay (IGRA)-negative TB case contacts of patients older than 5 years with sputum smear-positive TB in the INFECT(Innate Factors in Early Clearance of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis) study; and Index case characteristics were recorded and their M. tuberculosis isolates obtained.
